Having revisited John Gatto in the previous post I thought it useful to dig up some of his collected work. Preservenet has a collection of Gatto's work that you can find on the web. There is also Gatto's own page.
I've just had a quick squiz at some of Gatto's stuff. I've printed out 3 or 4 papers to take home to read tonight in a typical digital migrant habit. From the phrases and subtitles that have jumped off the screen I'm thinking that anyone in the education system - private or public won't be able to read this stuff and sit comfortably. I'm looking for material to inspire my folk early in the new year, I'm sure I'll find something from this teacher/writer. I'll be back with my analysis and reflections.
